EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT

I worked with the NCR Foundation to create a virtual campaign -- Road Trip for Good -- to educate NCR employees worldwide about the Foundation in order to more deeply engage them in the work. The holiday campaign featured a series of videos and emails and a quiz (plus prizes) to test employee knowledge. This top performing employee engagement campaign exceeded goals, generating 4,800 video views and nearly 3,000 quiz completions, and doubled subscribers to the Foundation's intranet page.

FOUNDATION COMMUNICATIONS

I helped refresh materials to support the NCR Foundation's internal and external communications, including their website presence, formal presentation and backgrounder documents.

VIDEO: TEAM HEALTHY KIDS

This was one of my favorite videos to produce for fundraising and recruiting runners for Team Healthy Kids. It features the inspiring story of a young man who committed to improving his life through health and fitness while also benefitting Action for Healthy Kids.

BETIME WITH GOGO SQUEEZ

I produced a series of videos with GoGo squeeZ to highlight their partnership with Action for Healthy Kids to transform spaces in high-need schools into inspiring areas for kids to play, learn and grow.

MEDIA RELATIONS

I conducted strategic media relations, both reactive and proactive, to communicate about the impact of Action for Healthy Kids and the stories of the many tireless champions who helped drive the mission in their own communities. This US News & World Report article about improving school meals featured our CEO, Colorado state coordinator, and one of our local parent volunteers in rural Colorado.

MEDIA RELATIONS

USA Today included an Action for Healthy Kids senior executive and R.D. in an article offering advice to parents on raising healthy eaters.

BIO

Loren Coleman has more than two decades of integrated communications experience working across the corporate and nonprofit sectors. As a senior leader she has helped Fortune 500 companies, startups, nonprofits and foundations fuel their brands and business goals. Loren is driven by partnering with clients that share her passion for the greater good. Her focus on advancing social causes is rooted in her belief that complex challenges facing society are addressed best when public and private sectors work together.

Loren has helped drive the missions and impact of organizations dedicated to social responsibility and philanthropy over the past ten years, including Action for Healthy Kids (AFHK) and Libra Philanthropies.  She supported AFHK’s mission of advancing health and education equity, executing its rebrand and a complex strategic shift during the pandemic. She also collaborated cross-functionally to drive programmatic goals, translate complex information and data to engage corporate and consumer audiences, and forge and grow value-driven corporate partnerships. Through the Take Action for Healthy Kids campaign, her team’s work inspired parents, caregivers and educators to take 100K actions for kids. For Libra Group, she helped launch Libra Philanthropies, a private foundation, and articulate its vision for driving social change. She also supported marketing communications for nonprofits founded by Libra, including promotion of the Seleni Institute, a maternal mental health treatment and training center, and its Black Perinatal Mental Health training, and the rebrand of Founder Forward, an entrepreneurship-support organization focused on underserved BIPOC founders. She has also provided consulting services to Humane Society of the United States, Wounded Warrior Project and NCR Foundation.

Loren is able to seamlessly step into any project with creativity and tenacity. She has managed celebrities, influencers and corporate spokespeople, brought stories to life through exceptional writing skills and a knack for visual communications, generated hundreds of millions of media impressions for clients, and worked on award-winning campaigns for major household brands. She’s tackled tough topics like mental health, menopause, cannabis, hearing loss, and health equity, helping media understand and reframe the nuances of such issues to benefit consumer audiences.

Loren's passion for social change is also deeply rooted in her early educational pursuits; she holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Boston University and a master’s degree from Tufts University Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy with a concentration in Agriculture, Food & Environment. She lives mostly in South Florida, sometimes in Maine, with her husband (the runner shown above) and their dog Moki.
